Call for abstracts — Young Scientists Only
Reminder: you must be registered to the conference before submitting an abstract.
Abstract submission is open!
Calling all young scientists! The Young Scientist Cancer Congress (YS2C) welcomes abstract submissions from:
Postdoctoral researchers and early-career clinicians — eligible for oral presentations or posters
PhD and Master's students — eligible for poster presentations, with the opportunity to give a lightning talk (2-minute pitch, 1 slide) during a plenary session if selected

Awards & Highlights
Several prizes will be awarded, including:
- Complimentary registration to the EACR 2026 Congress for the best oral presentation
- Complimentary registration for the 38th Pezcoller Symposium (2027) will be awarded for the best poster and the best oral presentation
- Lightning Talk opportunity for the best selected posters (2-minute pitch with 1 slide) during a plenary session
Abstract Guidelines
Abstracts should be structured around the following elements, but submitted as a single unstructured paragraph (without subheadings):
- Background: scientific or clinical context and main question
- Methods: concise and informative
- Results: key findings
- Conclusion: interpretation and relevance
Format requirements:
- Maximum: 2,500 characters (including spaces)
- Language: English
Selection process
All abstracts will be reviewed by the YS2C Scientific Committee. Abstracts submitted for oral presentation that are not selected will automatically be considered for a poster presentation, subject to the author's confirmation.

Important Dates
- Deadline for submission of abstracts for oral presentations: June 30, 2026 (11:59 pm)
- Deadline for submission of abstracts for poster presentations: July 30, 2026
Presentation Formats
All presentations must be delivered in English.
- Oral presentations: 15 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A
- Poster presentations: A0 format, portrait orientation
- Lightning talks: 2 minutes, 1 slide
